The role of medicinal plants in the daily life of Indonesian society is important. The industry and trade of traditional medicines that has been growing rapidly over the last decade indicates the renaissance of the need for medicinal plants. In addition, native medicinal plants are one of the most obvious plant groups facing serious problems regarding their long-term survival. Conservation through conservation research is desperately needed.
