The
Eastern Eco-lodge was built in early 1997 in the village of Citalahab
within the boundaries of Gunung Halimun National Park. The architecture
of the eco-lodge was based on the that of the surrounding communites.
Since the
site of the eco-lodge is within 2 minutes walk from the rainforest,
visitors can expect to enjoy varied trekking experiences and fabulaous
wildlife watching. There are a number of waterfall within easy reach
of the lodge, the impressive Nirmala Tea Estate where tea production
can be observed and a varied community made up of more traditional and
non-tradtional communities.
Facilities within the eco-lodge consist of 5 rooms with twin beds, and
if necessary it can add with one extra bed. Dinning room and gazebo
is also provided for the guest to relax and enjoy the surrounding environment.
